The Ferrari 312 was an incredible success story for Ferrari, winning the constructors championship three years in a row. It's also been ranked as the most successful design ever in F1 and was in place for six seasons from 1975 to 1980.
Also quite famously, it was the new T2 (version 2) design that Nikki Lauda has his unfortunate fireball crash at the Nurburgring in 1976, due to a suspension failure. He showed amazing spirit and courage to return to the track just six weeks later, helping Ferrari win the constructors championship and being just two points from winning the F1 title himself.
