Design is inspired by the 50 year history of Autodelta and also the Alfa Romeo GTA 1300 Junior race car. Autodelta was the historic part of Alfa Romeo's competition structure which until recently was named Alfa Corse. With the buyout of Sauber, the 2019 Formula One team for Alfa has now also been renamed to Alfa Romeo Racing.
