Why have one V8 when you can have four?

"TV" Tommy Ivo built this in 1961, pairing two Buick 401 CI nailhead engines together as a V16 to drive the front wheels, and two more Buick 401 CI nailhead engines together as a V16 to power the rear wheels.

This dragster was originally nicknamed by the media as the 'Showboat' - a name that did not go down well for Ivo and later he built the Wagon rear body  to rename this officially as the Wagon Master.

All that power didn't lead to fast times at the quarter-mile, due to the inability to create adequate grip and traction. It did generate a lot of tyre smoke however and was very popular whenever it made an appearance.

The Hot Rod legend series design inspiration comes from some of the famous drag cars with some influence and a 'nod' towards Ed Roth's legendary cartoons.
