The Alfa Romeo 'Busso' V6 had three main strengths: power, sound and how it looked - the chrome intakes sit in a key position due to the side mounting of the engine.
Also known as Alfa's violin due to its beautiful sound, this engine has been produced over a twenty six year run and ranged from 2 litres to 3.5 litres in size.
This engine has won numerous awards and was sold in Lancia cars as well as Alfa Romeo's.
The engine designer was Guiseppe Busso, who had worked at Alfa since 1939 and had created the Alfa twin cam. Sadly he died just three days after the production of his 'Busso' engines concluded in 2006.
