There have been key moments of time in car concept design. From the changes that General Motors designers Harley Earl and Franklin Hershey inspired that led to the development of tail fins and rocket ship influences, to the 1990's move towards rounded surfaces and absence of sharp lines.
In between those key phases was the 'Italian Wedge' of the 1970's, first accentuated by Guigiaro with the Maserati Boomerang, and perhaps reaching its peak with the Lancia Stratos Zero.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for many this was a time of some of the most beautiful car designs, and many consider the Alfa Romeo Carabo to be the best ever.
This T-Shirt uses a 1970's poster design inspiration to highlight different italian designers from the period just before the wedge design with the Carabo through to perhaps its latter period with the Lancia Sibilo.
