This design celebrates three historical Italian motor racing circuits.
Monza is one of three circuits that featured banked corners, with this circuit's run toward the main straight becoming named as the parabolica. Many of these sections still exist today behind the newer Formula 1 circuit. Monza is also nicknamed the temple of speed due to its historic emphasis on high track speeds.
Targa Florio is the oldest running motor racing event, having been established in 1906 in Sicily and is an endurance event. The original race covered the whole island.
The Mille Miglia (Thousand Miles) is also an endurance event that started in 1927, and covered between Brescia to Rome and return.
